Why You Should Go To Blogtacular

I’ve been blogging for a while now, first over at Little Squish, and now here but always about sewing and creativity. This year I made a leap of faith and booked an early bird ticket for Blogtacular, not really knowing what to expect or even if (as a hobby blogger) I’d get lots out of it.

Of course, if you follow me on Instagram you’ll know that Blogtacular was this weekend and I absolutely make no apologies for the number of photos and stories I shared! I had the absolute best time, even if I was anxious about travelling down to London and not knowing anyone. I’m actually feeling pretty proud of myself, I managed to travel alone, catch the the Tube, share a room with someone I’d never met and talk to loads of people. Go me!

I think I could go on for days about why Blogtacular was such an amazing experience and worth every penny, but instead I’ve summed it up for you in a handy infographic:

Thank Yous!

I just want to give a massive thank you and round of applause firstly to Kat, the brains behind Blogtacular. She is amazing!

The brains behind Blogtacular

I also want to thank everyone that volunteered to help out with Blogtacular, you all did such a great job of keeping the day running smoothly.

Thank you to the amazing speakers I had the pleasure of being inspired by:
Natalie Lue
Greta Soloman
Cath Dean
Sas Petherick
Emma Gannon

It sounds like you had a good time and met some like minded people. I really wanted to go but I only heard about it recently when the person running it was interviewed on a podcast.

    • 15th June 2017 / 1:51 pm

Definitely check it out next year! If you like podcasts, there is actually a Blogtacular one hosted by Kat (who you heard interviewed); I find it really interesting 🙂

Ah this is such a fab post, it was my first Blogtacular although I have done many events and this was just incredible, I think if you are a creative them it is just the perfect way to make that creative mind ticking x

Definitely. I’ve wanted to go since the first one, but always talked myself out it because of nerves and not feeling like a “proper” blogger. I’m amazed at how much I learned and I’ve got so many ideas now!

  5. 14th June 2017 / 9:43 pm

Oh that sounds amazing! I’d heard good things about Blogtacular but never thought about going before, maybe next year!

Loved reading this, I’ve yet to go to a blog conference. I’ve been blogging for 3 years but never had the time. Maybe next year?

    • 15th June 2017 / 1:48 pm

Definitely sign up for their mailing list and consider it. I learned loads!

  7. 15th June 2017 / 8:24 am

I haven’t heard of Blogtacular but you are definitely making me want to go! I think I would be apprehensive as, like you, I don’t consider myself a “full-time” blogger

    • 15th June 2017 / 1:47 pm

I’m amazed at how much I got out of it tbh, I learned so much! I thought everyone else would be full-time bloggers, but that wasn’t the case.

It sounds like a fun event. Glad to hear the food is good as that can sometimes be a let down at some events.

    • 16th June 2017 / 7:20 pm

Oh my goodness the food was AMAZING!

  9. 15th June 2017 / 9:42 pm

    • 15th June 2017 / 9:47 pm

Are there any you’d recommend? 🙂

  10. 15th June 2017 / 10:32 pm

I love blog conferences as I always leave feeling so inspired, although I have only been to Britmums and Blogon . I am not going to any this year but I love the sound of blogtacular and have heard such great things about it x

    • 16th June 2017 / 8:43 am

I’ve heard of Britmums although it isn’t very relevant to me, I think, but I haven’t heard of Blogon so I’m going to go have a look at that 🙂 Blogtacular is definitely worth checking out!

    • 17th June 2017 / 5:24 pm

You’ll have a great time! I was really nervous about going to Blogtacular but I needn’t have worried.

  11. 16th June 2017 / 10:51 pm

I’m putting this on my must attend list for next year. I really want to meet other bloggers and this is the only blog conference I’ve heard consistent good things about. Especially on the friendliness side of things. I saw some of your instagram pictures. It looked like such a fun event. xx

    • 17th June 2017 / 5:25 pm

It really was amazing, I’d certainly go again 🙂

  12. 17th June 2017 / 7:03 pm

It sounds like a wonderful day. I love the infographic style of review.
I’m hoping to attend some blogging conferences next year.
